My favorite holiday is Christmas. I grew up with it, and it is one of the things that always makes me feel connected to the rest of the world. It is one of those holidays when you find yourself thinking about the things you love about your home, family, your friends, and the people you care about in a different way. You take a moment to appreciate the things that are important to you each and every year, and you make the effort to go out and celebrate how you feel.
This year is no exception. The holidays are a time when we try to take care of ourselves. We eat the foods that are closest to our tastes, wear the clothes that fit us best, and put together the things that we enjoy most. We take care of ourselves. We take care of our bodies.
With the holidays approaching, we’ll remember to take care of ourselves, too. As much as I wish we could take care of ourselves, I know the truth. I know that we can’t get everything done. I know that it’s not all about doing things. I know that some of it is about acknowledging the parts of ourselves we need to fix.
So here’s the deal. The holidays are coming. This means you can use this holiday season as a great opportunity to do all the things you’ve been meaning to do. For those of you who are feeling particularly stressed about the holidays, think about the things you do that are important to you – things you’ve been meaning to do. Think about whether you’ve made any changes in the way you think about yourself and your relationship to your body.
Christmas is a time for reflection and re-evaluation. It’s a time when we look at what we’ve done, what we’ve been doing, and try to find the good in the bad. It’s a time when we get to look back and see our accomplishments and the things we are doing that we could be doing better.
In order to be more than a few things, you have to think a little about what a person is thinking. You may or may not have the brain to think about these things, but you don’t seem to have much of a clue. You don’t have the eye to know what a person is thinking, but you need to keep the mind going.
Being a medical santa is like being a professional photographer. You have to be able to see the person, the details, and the person’s thoughts. You have to have the skill to know how to get a close enough picture of the person to capture the whole person.
This is the hard part of being a medical santa, I think. There are a lot of ways to get close with a person, but there has to be a bit of a disconnect between what the person thinks and what you think you see. I can talk to a patient and talk about my experience, but I can only see the person and their thoughts. As we all know, people are very, very complex.
That’s a great question. One patient that I worked with in the past went into a coma for eight months after a stroke that left her paralyzed on her right side. When they found her, she was completely unresponsive and had no idea who she was. I had asked her doctor if he could do anything to help her because of the way the brain works. He told me that he couldn’t because she doesn’t have a brain to begin with.
This is one of the key things you learn about the brain as a young medical student. The more you go into neurology the more you learn how the brain uses information to make decisions. For example, if you have a person who has a weak pulse you know that they are in distress, so you might ask that person to hold their hand, or use a tourniquet (in the case of a pulse).
