Lynne Medicals will be the first blog I’ve written that I’ve written for a living. I’ve been a freelance writer for about thirty years, so I’m well-versed in the ways of the publishing world. I’ve been writing reviews, columns, and articles for a little over two years now, and I’ve been published in the New York Times, Washington Post, NY Daily News, and The New York Observer.
Ive worked in biomedical research for the past ten years, most recently as a researcher at the Yale School of Medicine. But Ive never tried to write medical articles before, and Ive got a little rusty as to the way in which medical research actually works. Ive written a little over ten posts for the new blog Ive been blogging for, lynnmedical.com. The reason Ive started this blog is because my sister and I are getting married in two weeks.
It’s an odd thing to get married. The wedding is supposed to be “a day at the beach,” but in reality it’s a day at a zoo. The day itself is supposed to be a beautiful day, but it’s not. Instead, there’s a day of chaos, where the groom isn’t even there, and the bride is the only person who has any idea what’s going on.
I find this whole idea of a wedding day as a day at the spa, to be quite amusing, but also quite alarming. It seems to me that the only people who wouldnt like being the center of attention are the bride and groom. And I dont know how these people are getting through their day, but I do know they are having a terrible time.
We are at the end of a story arc that has left the player with no clue of what is taking place, and not much to do while waiting for the characters to figure out who just hit the other guy’s car. That is, until the end of the day, when the groom starts getting up in the middle of the night and doesn’t know how to get himself to the wedding.
Oh, and the bride is a doctor-for-hire who’s been hired to take care of her husband’s ex-wife, the doctor who he dumped.
